Back to Melbourne

Our flight was at 9:00 am. We ate breakfast and walked outside to go grab the cab. While out, an older gentleman asked our taxi driver if he was free and we gathered from the conversation that he was going to the airport too. We invited him to share the taxi with us, and he was glad to do so.
The ride only took 15 minutes, and whe we got ready to pay our fare, we heard a "don't take their money, it's not bloody good". The nice gentleman paid the taxi for us and wouldn't take any money...how nice is that?

We landed in Melbourne at 2 pm: it doesn't seem that far, but Cairns is pretty far up North. We went back to center city ad got a coffee in a very cute coffee shop in a small square that was tucked away from the main road. The whole area was decorated for Xmas, with really cool trees and giant decoration hanging from the ceiling.

After the nice break, we bought some chocolate and flowers to bring to our host and hopped on the train to go back. David had to check emails, we both needed to organize our stuff since tomorrow we'll start our road trip.

On a funny (not so funny) note: I almost got the hang of looking the "correct" way before I cross the street..almost being the operative word. I better get used to it fast since we'll get a car tomorrow. Eek , it will be very interesting driving on the "wrong" side of the road.
